CVYO operates under Conejo Oaks Symphony Inc., a 501c3 non-profit educational arts organization with a rich 60-year history.

We are dedicated to inspiring youth through music, and to training the next generation of musicians and artists. Our orchestras work with musicians from grade school to college ages, rehearse throughout the academic year (Sep-May) and perform in beautiful theater venues throughout the Ventura County and Los Angeles region.

Open Position – Managing Associate, Events Coordinator (Filled)

The COS Managing Associate works closely with our administrative and executive teams to achieve and oversee:
– Creation of logistics plans for concerts and events.
– Communication with theater and concert venues.
– Communication with audience recruitment contacts from school programs, senior communities, and music programs.
– Event management, including overseeing volunteer teams, communicating with front-of-house and backstage personnel.

Qualified candidates have or will quickly develop:

– An exceptional level of integrity.
– A drive for supporting young artists.
– Organization skills and a fast-paced hard-work ethic.
– A constantly growing and refining ability to communicate and work with others.
– Administrative experience in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel. 
– An ability to write well and type quickly (at least 50WPM)

Hours:
1 office day per week (4 to 6 hours), 4 weeks per month, occasional week off.

Base Pay Rate: 
$50/hr

Salary: 
$1,100/mo August – June

Concert Hours:
Large Events (4x8hrs) 32, Small Events (6x4hrs) 24
$800 to $2,800 for events depending on length
